According to company legend, Miller’s advertising manager got lost in the woods of Wisconsin when he saw a crystal-clear vision of the girl on the moon. Although many rumors have floated around through the years, but no one knows the name or exact inspiration behind the woman depicted on the Champagne of Beers. Regardless, she is one of the most effective and recognizable advertisements and has stood the test of time. The Girl on the Moon has an old-timey, wholesome appeal, popular with Millennials and vastly different from traditional beer advertising.
